Many people prefer to force us to use platforms like Etsy and eBay but truth be told, your money is then supporting the platform, not the seller. Etsy takes a 23% commission on sales and is confiscating another 75% of seller receipts left and right for no reason at all. I am transitioning off Etsy along with thousands of other sellers and I have filed complaints with PayPal and BBB and alerted various journalists to this situation but American media doesn't seem to be interested. The British and the Australians are investigating them however.

They say on their front page 'Please be advised that due to the high volume of complaints received for this business, BBB publishes 1 out of every 5 complaints handled through our conciliation process.' and then 'Customer Reviews are not used in the calculation of BBB Ratings' to let you know that their A- ratings means nothing when they have over 2500 complaints published but 10k total - they only publish 1 out of every 5. It's insane.
